Structured brand layer

What is BrandGraph?

BrandGraph is the structured, machine-readable record Trocial builds from a scan: company facts, products, capabilities, markets, proof, citations, competitive context, and any brand information a team has explicitly approved. It is the foundation Trocial uses to help AI systems understand a company accurately, and the source data behind the AI Recommendation Profile.

What goes into BrandGraph

Company facts (category, core offer, target customer, geography) extracted during a scan, each with a confidence level. Products and capabilities described in plain, extractable terms. Markets served. Proof - the evidence a model can cite for a given claim. Citations - sources that already reference the brand. Competitive context - how the brand compares to named alternatives in the same buyer-intent answers. Approved brand information - facts a team has confirmed are correct and ready for AI systems to use.

Why a structured layer matters

AI systems assemble answers from fragments, not full pages. A structured, consistent record reduces the chance that a model has to guess at a fact, or picks up a stale or incorrect detail from an outdated page. This is the same principle behind Trocial’s technical and entity readiness check: crawlability, schema, and proof consistency all feed the same underlying goal.

How it is used today

From a completed scan, Trocial can generate a draft llms.txt file and structured schema blocks based on BrandGraph facts, for a team to review and publish themselves. Trocial does not auto-publish these to a customer’s website - every draft is reviewed by a person first.

How BrandGraph connects to the rest of a scan

BrandGraph facts feed the "what AI understands about the brand" section of every AI Recommendation Profile, and low-confidence or missing facts there are what drive several of the items in the Priority Opportunities queue - so improving BrandGraph and improving the score are the same underlying work.

Frequently asked questions

Is BrandGraph automatically published to my website?

No. BrandGraph produces draft assets - such as llms.txt and schema blocks - that a person reviews and publishes. Nothing is auto-deployed.

How is BrandGraph different from the AI Recommendation Profile?

BrandGraph is the structured fact layer extracted and approved during a scan. The AI Recommendation Profile is the scorecard (AI Visibility, Recommendation Share, Competitive Position, Citation Strength, Brand Accuracy, Priority Opportunities) built from checking that brand against real AI provider answers.
